The Water Institute Receives Funding From TUBITAK

The Water Institute is pleased to be one of the partners in the recently funded project from  TUBITAK Public Institutions Research Funding Program.The main objectives of the project is to monitor chemical, biological and hydro-morphological situation of water bodies in Buyuk Menderes Basin to determine ecological and chemical classifications, to define the environmental objectives, discharge criteria, programmes of measures in order to protect of the basin and improve the water status. Specific objectives of the project is to develop methodologies to apply for other basins in Turkey. Total duration of the project will be 30 months. The project team will consist of a wide range of multi-disciplinary researchers working in different universities.
